Police Investigating Murder Case After Mr. Delivery Driver Shot Dead in Lenasia

Police are investigating a case of murder after a Mr Delivery driver was shot and killed in Lenasia.

Police say they received reports of a shooting in Marlin Street, Extension 8 on Friday night and upon arrival found a man lying on the ground covered with a foil.

The police’s Bafana Ndimande says the motive for the shooting is being investigated.

There was a motorbike next to the victim, a Blue Honda with registration number JD50MBGP, with a bullet hole on it. The paramedics were summoned to the crime scene and they certified the victim dead. The deceased sustained a gunshot wound on the upper body.

Bafana has appealed to the community to assist police with the information that may lead to the arrest of the perpetrators.
