Palestinian activist Eyhab al-Jallad says Israeli occupation forces stormed into Masjid Al-Aqsa to thwart the victory celebrations of Palestinians.

Israeli police fired rubber bullets and sound bombs just after Jumu’ah salaah on Friday  following a ceasefire agreement brokered by Egypt

There have been at least 20 reported injuries while Israeli Occupation police also arrested a number of people before releasing them.

Jallad says Israeli occupation forces broke into Al-Aqsa and were “sniping” worshippers.

“We were sitting on our of the platforms in front of Qibli Mosque, me and my brother and my father. They are ordered us to leave and we said we are sitting in our mosque, we are not moving and my father can’t move fast. So they threw a stun grenade between us and my father because of the stun grenade. They then started beating and cursing us.”

Jallad says the ceasefire came with no details or conditions.

“It didn’t specify exactly what the terms of the ceasefire was. It didn’t mention Jerusalem or Sheikh Jarrah. We just feel how can they enforce like calm in Jerusalem. It’s the duty of the people of Jerusalem to continue resisting and continue supporting the Gazans because the Gazans did their part.”

Jallad says the people of Jerusalem understand that the resistance in Gaza was not affected and will continue restoring and repairing the infrastructure that was damaged by Israel.
