A resident of Sheikh Jarrah in East Jerusalem has shared her traumatic experiences at the hands of Israeli occupation forces who are unleashing a wave of terror against innocent Palestinians including women and children.
The sister who preferred to remain anonymous for fear of reprisals was speaking to Radio Islam in an exclusive interview live from Sheikh Jarrah as Israel continues its bombardment of Gaza.
More than 220 Palestinians have so far been killed, including 64 children, 38 women, and 17 elderly people while 1,620 others wounded due the ongoing Israeli attacks on Gaza Strip.
The sister says they are trying their best to defend themselves against the Israeli occupation forces.
“We are all unarmed, we have no weapons, we have no way to defend ourselves. The only thing I am doing right now is raising our voice to the international community, letting people know what is really going on the ground so that other governments can put pressure on the Israeli government to stop this violence and to stop this insane, inhumane violence.”
The sister says Israel is ethnically cleansing East Jerusalem taking complete control of the area.
“They do not want to see Arabs whether they are Christians or Muslims in the city. Israel has way more advanced weapons that they are using against us.”
She says Palestine will be free.
“Insha’Allah I am hoping that this time we will get out with victory, we will get out of this intifada with victory and getting our land back and being free Insha’Allah hopefully.”
On Tuesday, esteemed Islamic scholar Ml Sulaimaan Ravat said the Palestinians in many ways are defending Al Aqsa and Quds on behalf of the entire Ummah, so we owe it to them to become better Muslims so that they get their help and assistance from Allah including Muslims across the globe.
