The Palestinian Health Ministry says nine Palestinians have been killed including several children after an Israeli bombardment which targeted a group of civilians in Beit Hanoun, north of the Gaza Strip.

This comes after Palestinian resistance in Gaza fired a number of rockets on Monday towards Israeli controlled areas in Jerusalem, leading to alert sirens being fired and Israelis scrambling for bomb shelters.

The Palestine Information Network (PIN) reports the sirens have been greeted with shouts of joy in Masjid al-Aqsa as a gift for the Palestinian people and retribution for Israeli crimes at Islam’s third holiest site.

“Settlers have vacated public spaces, the Buraq scale is isolated at this hour and the settler Jerusalem Day march for this afternoon has been cancelled and settlers bused home.”

Pin says a session of the Israeli Knesset had to be hastily abandoned and airplane flight paths have been rerouted.

Earlier the Palestine Solidarity Alliance (PSA) told Radio Islam the Zionists in Israel have displayed a level of inhumanity that is indescribable and incomprehensible.

The PSA’s Naazim Adam was speaking to Radio Islam on Monday following the attack on Masjid Al-Aqsa and Palestinians by Israeli occupation forces.
