Lenasia police are investigating a case of murder after the discovery of a body in Lenasia.
It is understood the body was found on Wednesday at the corner of Geranium and Lilac Avenue in extension 2.
Police say on arrival at the scene they found a man lying on the ground with stab wounds on the chest and forehead.
Spokesperson Bafana Ndimande says the motive for the murder is unknown at this stage.
“According to the witness the other African male who is a Malawian national alleged that he heard a scream outside and he went to investigate. He saw a male known to him also a Malawian national who was stabbed by an unknown male. The paramedics were summoned to the crime scene and they certified the victim dead.”
Ndimande has urged anyone with information that may lead to the arrest of perpetrators to contact the police.
