Joburg Water has urged residents of Mayfair and surrounds to be patient as the Hursthill reservoir replenishes water supply.
Residents have been complaining about an interruption of water supply since Tuesday
Radio Islam has received a number of queries with regards to the outage.
Joburg Water’s Isaac Dhludhlu says the Hursthill Reservoir has been battling with capacity.
Dhludhlu says the reservoir has been in recovery mode since the Rand Water a outage a few weeks ago.
“On Monday part of the city encountered power problems which meant that we could not to be able to pump water and the reservoir was then affected badly. While it was in a better state thinking that it is improving, then we had this other City Power outage on Monday.”
Dhludhlu says Joburg Water is doing all it can to restore water supply to affected residents.
