Police are investigating a case of murder and attempted murder after a man was shot dead in an apparent hit in Lenasia.
It’s understood the man was being chased by unknown suspects driving a white Mazda in Hydrangea Avenue on Sunday when he was shot several times.
The police’s Bafana Ndimande says the suspects fled the scene in another vehicle.
“The males shot at the victim and he crushed into the wall next to Exel Garage, Lenasia Extension 1. The males lost control of their motor vehicle and crashed next to the victim’s motor vehicle. A security guard from Alarm Net followed the motor vehicle and the males started shooting at him. The security guard was not injured and the motor vehicle took off.”
Ndimande has urged anyone with information that may lead to the arrest of the perpetrators to contact the police.
