COVID-19 Deaths in SA Hits 24,000 While Infection Continues Grim Climb to Over 892,000

The Health Ministry says that another 9,126 COVID-19 infections have been picked up.

These latest cases published on Thursday have pushed the known number of infections since the start of the outbreak to 892,813

Another 184 people have also died after contracting the virus.

These latest fatalities bring the national death toll to 24,011

The ministry says the recovery rate currently stands 780,313 people who have recuperated.
