Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Condemns Cartoons Denigrating Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)

Saudi Arabia has denounced the publication of cartoons offending Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

In a statement, a foreign ministry official says the Kingdom rejects any attempt to link Islam with terrorism.

The official says freedom of expression and culture should be a beacon of respect, tolerance and peace that rejects practices and acts which generate hatred, violence and extremism and are contrary to values of coexistence and mutual respect among peoples of the world coexistence.

On Tuesday the Secretary General of the Jamiatul Ulama South Africa Ml Ebrahim Bham said the relationship between Muslims and Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is a core of the Islamic faith, our identity and our existence.

Ml Bham said regardless of the blasphemous portrayal of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) by France and others, the sanctity and the love that is held by Muslims with regards to the last prophet of Allah will remain undiminished.
