No one really tells you about the sinking feeling you get when you have sent out a hundred CVs and you hear not a single word back. That is traumatic on its own. Given the current economic climate, I will welcome you into adulthood and tell you that a degree is no longer a golden ticket when it comes to employment.

For now, you have to take job searching as your one and only job, this is until you get employed off course. One thing I can tell you is that each job advertisement attracts scores of people, so it is up to you to sell YOU the best YOU can on paper.

Your CV is your key you. Thus, you need to revamp to ensure you market yourself as best you can.

It is the first impression employers get of you. So structure it, to contain just the right amount of information needed to showcase your skills and experiences.

If you find you need help with a CV there are a wealth of videos, universities and colleges that offer this as part of their services. Remember you will have to chop and change your CV for each application, a generic one usually gets ignored.

Finding a job is one thing, finding opportunities is another, remember I said that until you find a job, your only job is to look for opportunities?  The way you can keep your ear to the ground, network, check job sites daily, and lastly it helps to join a professional networking organization also known as a job recruitment agency.

Now more than ever in an online age, you are your brand, so develop you and defiantly watch what you post. Remove anything dodgy from your social media as companies do look you up before hiring.

Lastly, experience is everything. Intern where you can for a week or two as this helps you get your foot into the door.  Most of all stay positive during your search.
