A 15-year-old Palestinian girl has taken advantage of the COVID-19 lockdown and memorised the entire holy Qur’an in just six months.
According to Ilm Feedm, Taqwa Zehir used the Coronavirus quarantine period in Palestine to focus on her memorization of the Qur’an.
Graduating as a Hafidh or Hafidah, a person who memorizes Qur’an can take more than 3 years to complete.
Esteemed Islamic scholar Mufti Ismail Menk says Allah makes a promise to protect the Qur’an.
“When you make an effort to memorize it, Allah will look after it because the Qur’an is in your heart. So if you want to save yourself from calamities in this world and next, your best bet also is to memorize the Qur’an. When you are memorizing the Qur’an you have Allah’s word inside you and you are moving around, there is a special care unit, VIP protection for you because you have the Qur’an in your heart, you are not just an ordinary person.”
Zehir has been lauded by a number of people for achieving this phenomenal feat.
