Police Launch Manhunt After Man Shot Dead in Armed Robbery in Boksburg

Gauteng police are searching for a group of  armed suspects following an armed robbery and murder in Boksburg, east of Johannesburg.

It’s understood that Hafez Muhammad Bham from Kotwals Motor Spares and a colleague were on their way to deposit cash at the bank in Boksburg North on Friday when they were accosted by the suspects.

The police’s Captain Mavela Masondo says they have launched a manhunt for the suspects

“When they took out two boxes with money inside, about four suspects started shooting at the victims and shootout ensued. One of the victims, aged 47, was fatally shot. The suspects took undisclosed amount of cash and fled in a white BMW.”

Masondo has appealed to anyone who might have information that can help in the investigation or lead to the arrest of the suspects to contact police
