Following another successful albeit limited Hajj, the holy Ka’ba in Makkah, Saudi Arabia has undergone routine maintenance to keep the house of Allah in a pristine and excellent condition.
Saudi Gazette reports that the latest technology and the best available material of international standards was used in the maintenance of the Holy Ka’ba.
The maintenance work includes the sanitizing the outer walls and the treatment of the cracks using high quality material while the rings for attaching the Kiswa have been re-gilded.
Only one thousand pilgrims residing in Saudi Arabia were allowed to perform Hajj this year following the outbreak of the COVID-19.
At least four thousand Hujjaj were expected to perform Hajj this year, but the pilgrimage was cancelled after International Relations minister, Naledi Pandor indicated that South African borders are currently closed and will not be open for international commercial travel.
