AlBaraka Bank Lenasia Closed for Deep Cleaning after Staff Member Tests Positive for COVID-19

AlBaraka Bank at the Signet Terrace in Lenasia has confirmed that a staff member at its branch has tested positive for COVID-19.

The bank says the infected staff member had been at the branch for seven days.

AlBaraka says the employee has been placed in self isolation.

“The Lenasia branch will be closed for deep cleaning, in line with Department of Heath and the National Institute for Communiciable Diseases (NICD) standards and will only be opened once it is declared safe.”

The bank says as a precautionary measure all staff at the branch have also been requesed to undergo testing and to self isolate.

AlBaraka has urged customers to make use of alternate branches.
