Monday 20110801 – Sunday 31st July 2011 was a historic day for Muslims, not just in Soweto, but worldwide when Masjid al Ansar officially opened in Orlando East. Especially In this era when every effort is made to suppress Islam. Allahu Akbar! The opening ceremony started at around 11am and ended at Zuhr Salaat. The masjid is located on the intersection of Mosaka and Mofutsanyani streets, Orlando East, Soweto.
