Lenasia Avalon Cemetery Closed on 15 Sha’ban due to COVID-19 Lockdown

April 08, 2020

The Lenasia Community Policing Forum (CPF) police and Janaza Security have announced that that the Avalon Cemetery will be closed for general visits.

The CPF’s Moose Bismillah says the cemetery has been closed in line with the regulations of the national lockdown imposed by President Cyril Ramaphosa to stop the spread of the Coronavirus.

“Security Personnel stationed at the Cemetery have been instructed not to open the gates, unless for a Burial facilitated by the Accredited Burial Committees.”

Visitors have been requested to please pray for the deceased at their homes.
