There is good news for South Africans intending to travel for Umrah to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
It’s emerged that South Africans can now get a Saudi tourism visa for a year and perform Umrah as many times as they desire during the year for just R 2,000.
The cost of the tourist visa and applicable charges are available on Saudi visa services center company VFS Tasheel’s website.
Saudi Arabia started issuing tourist visas from September this year with more than 50,000 tourists visiting the Kingdom since then.
Tourists are allowed to stay in Saudi Arabia for a maximum of 90 days during the year during which they can enter the Kingdom multiple times.
Women, unaccompanied by a male relative, are also allowed to perform Umrah through the tourism visa.
The establishment of a tourism development fund in the Kingdom forms part of the Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman’s strategy as Saudi Arabia aspires to achieve its Vision 2030 goals.
