A 5-year-old has died in house fire in Albatross Street in Lenasia.
Emergency services say they were alerted to the structural fire on Monday.
No other injuries have been reported.
Joburg Emergency Services Nana Radebe says the cause of the fire is being investigated.
“On arrival we found that it was one flat on fire and unfortunately a five-year-old lost their life due to smoke inhalation.”
