The mother of a 28-year-old man who was hijacked in Winchester Hills south of Johannesburg has urged people to be careful of their surroundings.

Ebrahim Moola was reported missing after a group of men hijacked him from his uncle’s house on Saturday.

Moola’s car was found a short while later while a search ensued for him.

He was eventually found safe at the Orlando Police Station in Soweto.

Moola’s mother Ammarah has thanked the Lenasia extension 9 community including her Radio Islam colleagues who assisted in the search for Ebrahim.

“Alhamdulillah my son Ebrahim Moola has been found safe. He’s very traumatized, we are all very, very traumatized. We urge communities right through South Africa to be vigilant when taking out your car. Please keep alert and most importantly is to read your daily duas. Allah protect us and keep us safe at all times Ameen.”

Police have launch a search for the suspect involved in the hijacking
