A vision educator says excessive use of digitalized media and pixelated screens weakens the dynamics of eyesight.

Christoper Lane was speaking to Radio Islam during World Sight Day (WSD) on Thursday.

World Sight Day is an annual day of awareness held on the second Thursday of October, to focus global attention on blindness and vision impairment.

Lane says human are designed to see things moving.

“There is a lot of research being done. It relates to the fact that pixelated screens are only about 1.6kb where as our eyes are designed to see things moving at 6mb.”

Lane says despite the doubts, the Bates method is an ineffective alternative therapy aimed at improving eyesight.

“The whole Bates method principles are based on the dynamics of various focusing skills. Exercising skills are incorporated in the process and the method will restore vision over a period of time.”

Eye-care physician William Horatio Bates, attributed nearly all sight problems to habitual strain of the eyes, and felt that glasses were harmful and never necessary.

Listen to Christopher Lane explain how to train your eyes to stop wearing glasses and improve your vision.
