The largest masjid in Europe is expected to open Friday.
Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Islamic Affairs Sheikh Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh will head the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s delegation to the opening of Fakhr Al-Muslimeen masjid in Chechnya.
This is the largest masjid in Chechnya, under the patronage of President of Chechnya Ramzan Akhmadovich Kadyrov, and with participation of Islamic delegations of a number of countries.
The Fakhr Al-Muslimeen masjid or “pride of Muslims” is built in the city of Shali in the Chechen Republic, and is one of the largest masjid in Europe, and is a masterpiece of modern Islamic architecture built in the style of four symmetrical gates, which correspond to each other.
The participation comes from the Kingdom’s leading role in serving Islam and Muslims, and encouraging any action that serves Islam.
President Kadyrov also extended congratulations to the Kingdom’s leadership for the success of this year’s Hajj season 2019, hailing its supportive stances of all issues bringing about unity of Islamic ranks, spreading moderation and combating all forms of violence, extremism and terrorism.
