Millions of Hujjaj from across the globe have pelted the Jamarat in the tent city of Mina since the dawn of the first day of Eid-al-Adha.

Hujjaj threw seven of the forty-nine pebbles at “Jamrat Al-Aqabah” after leaving Muzdalifah where the stones were gathered.

They will pelt for another two days which includes Jamarat-al-Ula and ‘Jamarat-al-Wusta

The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) monitored the consistency of the hujjaj movement in throwing pebbles at Jamrat Al-Aqabah with flexibility, convenience and ease in the four floors of the giant facility with a number of security, health, ambulance, hygiene and civil defense amongst others to ensure the ritual remains incident free.

Earlier there was a smooth flow of Hujjaj from Arafah where a cool breaze resulted in the heavens opening up with a soothing rain and a spectacular thunderstorm, a sign of mercy of Allah upon the hujjaj on the scorching plains.

At the same time the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul Aziz al-Saud has paid the expenses for the sacrificial meat for 6,500 hujjaj hosted by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ Guests Program.

The 2019 hajj has been described as a success with many publications reporting on the annual gathering of Muslims.

According to the SPA, more than 2,487,160 hujjaj performed hajj this year, with 1,855,027 hujjaj from outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia while 632, 133 domestic hujjaj performed hajj.
