An Italian foreign national who was allegedly robbed of hundreds-of-thousands of Rands by a scam artist has warned people about the businessman’s elaborate scheme to swindle foreigners and South Africans out of their hard-earned cash.
Victims told Radio Islam that they were totally taken in by the man, who remain at large despite a number of cases against him.
The businessman uses his rental car company to get money from foreign tourists or South Africans in need of 4x4s.
One of his victims, Italian Christine Aguilina says she has a number cases opened against the scam artist.
“I realized that this man was a serial liar, con artist, a scam artist. I have found out he had already scammed a lot of other people in the past since the age of twenty two, twenty three and it was time for me to unfortunately find a lawyer and start taking him to court and do things the legal way to get my cars back.”
IRS Forensic Investigations are investigating the man’s companies.
