Limpopo police have launched a search for suspects involved in the murder of a local farmer at Welgevonden farm.

It’s understood 51-year-old Annette Kennealy who was staying with her employee, was attacked by unknown suspects at her farm on Tuesday.

Police say family members tried to call her without success until one of them went to investigate.

Spokesperson Moatshe Ngoepe says the motive for the murder is being investigated and no arrests have been made.

“On arrival, he found the deceased inside the house lying in a pool of blood, with multiple stab wounds. The whereabouts of the deceased’s employee is unknown at this stage.”

Police have requested Kennealy’s employee Kenny Ramatshimbila from Mauluma to assist with investigations of the murder
