Thousands of people turned out on Friday to pay their last respects to those lost in the horrific terror attacks last week, while more than two dozen were buried in a mass Janaazah.
Today’s mass Janaazah follows a nationwide reflection for those killed in the attack, with the Jumu’ah salaah at 1.30pm broadcasted widely, followed by a two-minute silence.
The prayer was held at Hagley Park, opposite the Al Noor Mosque in Deans Ave, Christchurch, which was one of the two mosques attacked a week before.
Ulama from across the world have descended upon Christchurch to offer their support and assistance to those affected by one of New Zealand’s worst tragedies.
In a clip being widely shared on social media, a man embraces Islam at the hands of Sh Omar Suleiman while attending the mass janaazah in Christchurch, New Zealand.
