The Gift of the Givers Foundation say the international community do not know what is going on in Southern Africa with #CycloneIdai.
Chairman Dr Imtiaz Sooliman told Radio Islam in an interview that the aid organisation sent a 32-member team to Maputo to help with relief and rescue efforts.
He adds that the international community do not know about the situation on the ground because media cannot access the affected areas.
“There’s no pictures in large scale, because nobody could get in, there’s no roads, there’s no airport and no communication systems.”
Mozambique, Zimbabwe, and Malawi were all hit by a cyclone Idai which has left a trail of destruction since it made landfall last Thursday while tens of thousands more have been displaced.
