Saudi Hajj Ministry Collaborates with Huawei to Develop Hajj & Umrah Apps

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has collaborated with Huawei to develop smartphone apps and internet and TV channels.

Saudi Press Agency reports, Saudi Arabia’s General Investment Authority will also take part in workshops and meetings at Huawei’s headquarters.

The collaboration aims to improve the quality of digital services and pilgrimage for Muslims participating in Umrah and Hajj.

The deal will include the development of digital infrastructure including the construction of control rooms in pilgrim reception centres in Makkah and Medina.

Saudi Arabia has reportedly signed 35 economic deals worth USD 28 billion with China during Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s visit to the country.
