A group of deaf youth from South Africa have embarked on a journey of Umrah to the blessed lands of Makkah and Medina in Saudi Arabia.

One of the highlights of their trip was being granted an exclusive opportunity to read salaah on the Raudah Mubarak or green carpet after the public were ushered out.

Nabi (SAW) said “The area between my grave and my minbar is one of the gardens of Paradise.” – Al-Mu‘jam al-Awsat by at-Tabaraani (vol. 2, p. 120).

Radio Islam spoke to Khidmatul Awaam’s Adam Jainodien about the phenomenal journey of the deaf youth from Cape Town.
