The Energy Department has announced that the price of all grades of petrol will increase by 7 cents a litre from Wednesday.
The prices of different grades of diesel go up by 1 cent (for 0.05% sulphur) and 2 cents (0.005% sulphur) per litre while illuminating paraffin will decreases by 5 cents per litre.
The price of LP gas decreases by 11 cents per kg.
In a statement, the department says the main reasons for the fuel price adjustments are due to higher Brent Crude oil prices during the period under review including the Rand appreciating on average, against the US Dollar.
South Africa’s fuel prices are adjusted on a monthly basis, informed by international and local factors.
