Police are investigating case of murder, attempted murder and robbery after a suspect was set alight and his accomplice beaten up in Hillbrow.
It’s understood the community attacked the two suspects yesterday after they allegedly witnessed the two robbing a woman.
Police say community members chased the two suspects and beat them up before setting one of them alight.
The police’s kay Makhubela says no arrests have been made and Investigations are continuing.
“We are condemning the issue of mob justice. If people see someone is committing crime, it is better for them apprehend him as they’ve got the right as citizen arrest rather than to take the law into their own hands and kill someone.”
