WhatsApp to introduce Silent & Vacation Mode

If you’re on several WhatsApp groups or have a WhatsApp business account, you’re probably tired of the endless stream of messages.

WhatsApp has been working on the soon to be introduced Silent, Vacation and Linked Accounts features to improve chats and notifications.

Silent Mode

The latest WhatsApp feature is silent mode, which allows users to hide the app badge for muted chats. This means that users will not see a badge when they receive a message from muted WhatsApp chats and groups.

Vacation Mode

WhatsApp is also working on a vacation mode, which will stop archived chats being un-archived if users have muted them. This is feature users have been asking for since WhatsApp added the Archive Chat feature.
This option is for your muted groups. When you archive a muted group the chat goes to sleep and will never be automatically unarchived

LinkedIn

Mainly developed mainly for WhatsApp Business, another feature which will arrive soon is the ability to link a WhatsApp account to external services like LinkedIn.
