Indonesia Earthquake & Tsunami Turned Solid Earth into Liquid

October 04, 2018

Faizel Patel, Radio Islam News – 04-10-2018

NGO The Al-Imdaad Foundation says the earthquake and tsunami that hit the city of Palu on Sulawesi Island in Indonesia was so powerful it turned solid earth into liquid.

More than 1,400 people died and 66,000 homes were destroyed or damaged by the magnitude-7.5 quake and the tsunami it spawned on Friday.

The United Nations (UN) has warned of “vast” unmet needs in the country as food, water, fuel and medicine struggle to reach the hardest hit areas.

Hundreds of humanitarian organisations workers and volunteers from different countries have arrived in Indonesia with aid supplies.

Al-Imdaad’s Qari Ziyaad Patel speaking to Radio Islam from ground zero says the devastation and destruction left by the earthquake and tsunami is shocking.

“Apparently in this specific area where we were working this morning, where we were retrieving bodies and corpses, that area due to the seismic activity, the entire earth had turned to liquid. So it’s one area of massive destruction.”

Qari Ziyaad has urged the people to continue praying for the people of Indonesia during this difficult time.
