SAHUC Launches New Website to Make Hajj Registrations Simpler

September 06, 2018

Faizel Patel, Radio Islam News – 06-09-2018

The South African Hajj and Umrah Council says it has spruced up its website to make it easier for South Africans to navigate the portal when registering to go for hajj.

Sahuc says in the past it had multiple websites and felt it was necessary to integrate all into a single online platform.

Sahuc’s Ml Muhammad Vaid says the new website will be much easier to navigate.

“Well registration is on one single portal. Any vital information that needs to be shared or a person would like to access, it’s on one single platform.”

Ml Vaid says they’ve also added an online pay gate system hence all payments will have to be made using the online portal.

“Over the years we had thousands of payment anomalies where people have put the incorrect reference number or incorrect reference and we cannot reconcile those payments. Hence after much consultation it was decided we need to implement an online payment gateway system.”

Ml Vaid says that all systems will be offline for the next few days in preparation for the launch of the new website on the 1st of Muharram 1440.
