Oman welcomes thousands to Islam in 2018

June 22, 2018

Thahir Asmal, Radio Islam News – 22-06-2018

Oman has revealed that nearly 3,000 expats embraced Islam during the first five months of 2018.

The Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs claims that on one Friday alone during the Month of Ramadan at least 26 women accepted Islam at an event organised by the ministry, in which non-Muslims were given the chance to learn about the religion and clarify their doubts about certain aspects of it.

Over 800 men and women participated in the event, entitled ‘The Quran Speaks To You’, which also included Maghrib salah and iftar, so that non-Muslims could learn more about these acts.
Last year, 72 expats converted to Islam during Ramadan.

After a person reverts to Islam, the ministry provides them with literature to learn more about the religion in a bid to make them better Muslims.
