Three people have been killed and more than 200 others injured following an earthquake in Japan.
The quake whichg measured at a 5.3-magnitude on the richter scale struck during rush hour in the city of Takatsuki, north of Osaka, which has a population of around two million.
Officials a nine-year-old girl and two elderly men in their 80s were among those killed.
Government spokesperson Yoshihide Suga warned that there could be strong aftershocks and also issued tsunami warnings.
“Large-scale quakes are likely to happen in the next two to three days.”
Japan’s global location make it one of the most susceptible countries to earthquakes in the world.
