Mazda SA Urges Customers to Bring in Their Vehicles for Replacement Fittings

March 06, 2018

Faizel Patel, Radio Islam News – 06-03-2018

Mazda SA says with a response rate of about 9%, it is concerned about the number of customers who are yet to bring in their vehicles for replacement fittings.

Last year Mazda announced an estimated 28 000 Mazda models are being recalled as part of the faulty Takata airbag.

The Takata airbag recall has affected a number of manufacturers including Nissan, Honda, Toyota and General Motors.

The automaker the response of the recall has been poor from local customers.

“These Mazda customers are still driving around with possibly defective airbags. We are encouraging them to establish if their vehicle is affected. Customers can visit their nearest dealership to have their vehicle airbag(s) inflator replaced.”
