Police are investigating a case of assault and grievous bodily harm after two employees of Food Lovers Market at the Trade Route Mall in Lenasia were allegedly abused while at work.
It’s understood one of the men failed to wear the branded uniform of the store on Sunday while on duty.
Police say the men were confronted by the manager and owner of the shop and a security official where an argument ensued resulting in the employees being allegedly assaulted.
The police’s Hector Netshivodza says the suspects are expected to appear in court soon.
“Two people were assaulted while they were at work by the manager and the owner of the shop and the security. The argument started when one of the workers was not wearing the complete uniform and he was then assaulted. One the victims is in hospital”
