Ramaphosa Bids Zuma Farewell

President Cyril Ramaphosa has paid tribute former President Jacob Zuma for his contribution to South Africa’s development during his nine years in office.

It emerged the farewell cocktail dinner on Tuesday at Tuynhuys in Cape Town was attended by various ministers, deputy ministers and Presidency officials.

In official pictures issued, both President Ramaphosa and Zuma has broad smiles at the event.

Zuma, stepped down as the President of South Africa on February 14, in a 30-minute televised address from the Union Buildings in Pretoria, even though he disagreed with the African National Congress (ANC) National Executive Committee (NEC) to recall him.

Ramaphosa was unanimously elected and sworn in as South Africa’s fifth president by Parliament on 15 February.
