Radio Islam Outreach Programmes Unites Communities & Spreads Islam

February 19, 2018

Faizel Patel, Radio Islam News – 19-02-2018

Radio Islam’s outreach programmes has touched Muslims across South Africa resulting in the reversion of at least 2 people to Islam.

The initiative is to reach out to various communities and touch base with Radio Islam listeners and spread the word of Islam.

A number of activities are planned during the outreach programmes, which include, outside broadcasts, Jumu’ah lectures, community programmes and the history of the area.

On Sunday while in Riverlea, another person reverted to Islam, the second after Radio Islam’s outreach programme in Soweto.

The reversion was conducted at the hands of Sheikh Adil Abrahams who presents the Afrikaans programme on Radio Islam International on Sundays at 1pm.

Radio Islam’s programmes manager Moulana Sulaimaan Ravat says the radio station and its staff will continue to roll out the outrage programmes and interact with communities across South Africa to share the universal message of Islam and peace.

“We are so grateful to Allah hear at Radio Islam International that for the second time running now, in terms of our outreach programmes and out roadshows we had a brother step up and said he wanted to revert to Islam.”

According to a local Imam, by inviting three local masaajid and their congregations, Radio Islam’s outreach programme has united the community Riverlea and strengthened the bonds between people.
