Following accusations and outrage against the South African Hajj and Umrah Council (SAHUC) about the omission of Al Anwar Express as an accredited hajj operator for hajj 2018, SAHUC says the service provider was not accredited because of a violation raised by the Muassasa in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Sahuc released the accredited hajj operator list on on Monday with the exclusion of Al Anwar Express.
It’s understood the violation by Al Anwar Express relates to the pelting times of the Jamarat in Mina which the hajj operator had agreed to but failed to abide by.
Al Anwar Express has since apologised to Sahuc for what it says is unsubstantiated accusations against the hajj body and will not condone any behaviour to breach SAHUC’s code of conduct.
Sahuc’s Shaheen Essop says Al Anwar Express is in the process of trying to resolve the violation with the Ministry of Hajj and the Muassasa.
“It’s imperative to know that every hajj operator who is accredited under the auspices of Sahuc, abides by the rules and requirements that has been set out in the protocol agreement signed between Sahuc and the Ministry of Hajj in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.”
