After missing for more than 137 days, a Pretoria businessman has finally been reunited with his family.
76-year-old Omar Carrim was kidnapped on august 3 soon after leaving his business, home hyper city, in the Pretoria CBD.
A massive search was launched for him and police later found his burnt-out Mercedes at the Schurwerg Mountains in Pretoria West.
Family spokesperson Yusuf Abramjee says Carrim has been admitted to an undisclosed hospital where he is getting the required medical attention.
“I can confirm that 76-year-old Omar Carrim has been released and is reunited with his family. Carrim was released in the Olifantsfontein area.The Carrim family has appealed for privacy. Let’s give them and the victim the necessary time to recover from this ordeal.”
The Carrim family has thanked relatives, friends, law enforcement officials and the community for all the support and assistance.
