A man, believed to be in his 40’s is in a critical condition after two trucks collided on the R558 in Lawley, near Lenasia.
Seven others were also injured in the collision on Monday.
Emergency services say they arrived on the scene and found the patients were extricated from the trucks by Tecmed Rescue Squad.
ER24’s Annine Siddall says the cause of the collision is not yet known.
“The man who is in a critical condition was treated and transported to Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital by other emergency services on scene. Seven patients sustained minor to moderate injuries and were transported to nearby hospitals by other emergency services.”
Siddall says authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
