One person has been shot dead and another wounded at a hardware store in Kliptown, south of Johannesburg.
It’s understood two armed suspects followed the drivers of a delivery vehicle into Sam’s Hardware store on Friday and held up staff and customers demanding cash.
The police’s Phephi Matloumthetho says no one has been arrested.
“These two males started taking out firearms and pointing at everybody to rob them. The owner of the store had already given these guys money but they started shooting. One of the workers was shot dead, one has been taken to hospital.”
Matloumthetho says investigations are continuing.
