Three people have been injured after a truck drove into a farmers protest on the N4, outside Middleburg in Mpumalanga.
It is understood the truck driver apparently lost control of the heavy goods vehicle causing it to crash into several others during the protest action on Monday.
Thirteen other cars were involved in the accident.
Local law enforcement closed off the road while paramedics assessed the patients
ER24 says two people were found to have sustained serious injuries while one other had only moderate injuries.
“Paramedics treated the patients and provided the seriously injured with pain-relief medication. Once treated, the patients were transported to a nearby hospital in Middelburg for further treatment.”
ER24 says local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
