Malaysian Pilgrims Documents Processed in Kuala Lampur

August 30, 2017

Umm Muhammed Umar  – 30.08.17

Malaysians pilgrims have had an easy time processing their documents for Hajj this year.

The Saudi General Directorate of Passports sent a number of its employees to Kuala Lumpur Airport, Malaysia, to complete the procedures of pilgrims before they entered the Kingdom for Hajj.

In this pilot project, Malaysian Hajjis, were the first to enjoy facilitation of the procedures that pilgrims have to undergo, in their own country.

The procedures for pilgrims at the airport in Kuala Lumpur, are the same as the ones executed at the airports in Saudi Arabia.

All the relevant data of the pilgrim, such as his passport details, registration and personal image are processed in his home country.

When pilgrims arrive in Saudi Arabia, all they have to produce is their passport. This allows their arrival and entry process to be completed in record time.

Malaysian pilgrims have expressed gratitude to King Salman and the Saudi government for having chosen Malaysia to be the first country to register pilgrims from their own territory.

The process, which forms part of the plans to provide more services to pilgrims, is in line with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.
