Police Launch Manhunt for Suspects after Lenasia South Businessman Kidnapped

August 22, 2017

Faizel Patel, Radio Islam News – 22-08-2017

Police are investigating the kidnapping of a 39-year-old businessman from Lenasia South.

It’s understood Hossain Nahid was abducted while heading home from his fast food outlet.

Nahid was last seen on Sunday afternoon travelling with three shop assistants in a green Nissan 1400 bakkie before they were robbed by four men.

The police’s Kalipha Mvula says the men blocked off Nahid’s vehicle before approaching it and taking the shop assistants’ cellphones.

“Police have launched a manhunt for four armed suspects who kidnapped a 39-year-old Lenasia South businessman and drove away with him towards the direction of Vlakfontein on the Golden Highway. The motive for the kidnapping is still unclear at this moment.”

Mavula says investigations are continuing.
