Police are investigating a case of business robbery and murder after a 56-year-old businessman was found dead at his house-shop in extension 4, Lenasia South.
It’s understood the man was about to close his business yesterday when he was accosted by unknown suspects, assaulted and robbed.
The man’s body was found by his sister this morning after she failed to reach her brother and alerted a neighbour to force open the gate and front door of the house where they made the grim discovery.
The police Hector Netshivodza says the suspects are still at large and no arrests have been made.
“Upon our preliminary investigation he sustained head injuries. We found that the unknown suspects also ransacked the house and took cash, jewelry and his cellphone.”
