A woman and her three children have been found dead in their home in Witbank, Mpumalanga.

Paramedics say they found the mother lying on the floor on Monday morning while a five-year-old boy, a nine-year-old girl and 7-month-old boy were found lying in their beds.

ER24’s Russel Meiring says local authorities alerted them about the situation.

“It was evident that all four patients had been dead for some time. Unfortunately, nothing could be done by paramedics and the patients were pronounced dead.”

Details surrounding the deaths are not yet known, but police are investigating.
