Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of man’s body at the quarry commonly known as Oupa Fats in Lenasia, south of Johannesburg.
It’s understood the body was found yesterday by two boys who then informed a man working in an open field about their gruesome discovery.
The Polices Kay Makhubela says their investigations are continuing.
“When the police arrived paramedics were summoned, they certified him dead. So far the motive for the killing is unknown, but he was found with bruises and some head injuries. We have opened a case of murder.”
Makhubela has appealed to anyone with information about the case to contact the police.
