US President Donald Trump and his South African counterpart President Jacob Zuma have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.
Zuma and the US president have spoken for the first time since Trumps election.
The two heads of state spoke by phone today at the request of the White House.
Zuma’s office says there are six hundred companies in South Africa and strong trade relations between the two nations.
The two Presidents also discussed the need to work together on multilateral issues as well especially the quest for peace and stability on the African continent.
